Arsenal fans respond to comments regarding Aaron Ramsey

Arsene Wenger’s concluding years with Arsenal were certainly divisive amongst the club’s fanbase, but comments from the Frenchman regarding decisions from the Arsenal hierarchy relating to Aaron Ramsey have got many of the club’s fans talking.

Wenger departed north London after 22 years at the helm, with the veteran manager winning three Premier League titles and a record seven FA Cups.

However, his former side have failed to adapt to the new regime of Unai Emery, having won just four of their first 11 league fixtures.

Since leaving the club, Wenger has made a number of television appearances offering footballing insight, but the 70-year-old’s comments regarding former midfielder Ramsey and his departure to Serie A giants Juventus on a free transfer have got these fans criticising the club whilst praising their former boss for his honest insight.

Some also reflected on the Welshman’s time at the club after he scored in the Champions League.

Have appeared as a guest on beIN SPORTS, here are some of the best reactions to Wenger’s comments regarding Ramsey’s exit from The Emirates.

Arsenal fans fume over Unai Emery’s perplexing post-match interview

Unai Emery must have been watching a totally different game to the rest of us last night.

Despite sitting in fifth, two points behind Chelsea, patience is slowly wearing thin amongst Arsenal fans who just can’t seem to get their head around Unai Emery’s tactics.

It’s quite damning that, following Monday night’s match at Bramall Lane, “Wenger” was trending on Twitter – with most tweeting under the hashtag questioning whether the club has progressed away from his rule.

It’d be interesting to see how many of the proverbial pitchfork-wielding “Wenger out” campaigns are now regretting their decision. The grass is always greener, as they say.

In life, if someone does something wrong, it’s always better that they then apologise for their wrongdoing and show remorse. Unfortunately for Arsenal fans, Emery didn’t seem to get the memo.

And for all those waiting patiently for some sign of remorse in his post-match interview, or at least acknowledgement of how poorly the Gunners played, they were left without as he tried desperately to convince himself and the footballing world that the Gunners deserved a point at the very least.

Needless to say, most reacted very, very negatively…

Manchester United’s problems aren’t as bad as everyone thinks, claims Goldstein

Have Manchester United hit rock bottom yet or is there more to come? The Red Devils are currently sitting in the lower half of the table, having made their worst start to a season for over 30 years. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer still hasn’t registered a single away win since being appointed their permanent manager and has recently awarded Steve Bruce with his first managerial win against the Red Devils in 23 attempts. Lest we forget, the dreadful performance against AZ Alkmaar in the Europa League in which they failed to register a single shot on target.Watch Manchester United Live Streams With StreamFootball.tv Below

Since Ed Woodward made the seemingly fatal decision all those months ago in April, United have accumulated a dire 14 points from 15 games. In the same period of time, Liverpool under Jurgen Klopp, who Solskjaer welcomes to Old Trafford next, have secured 42.ÂIs it possible to defend this level of underachievement?

Well, it appears talkSPORT’s Andy Goldstein believes so…

We’re not entirely sure we agree, Andy. Zero shots on target against a Dutch side requires a certain degree of dreadfulness.

Liverpool’s Georginio Wijnaldum shows the right attitude in determined tweet

Georginio Wijnaldum has had an incredible start to the 2019/20 campaign.Coming off the back of winning the Champions League last term, the Dutch midfielder has only gotten better.Watch Liverpool Live Streams With StreamFootball.tv Below

He’s started every single one of Liverpool’s Premier League games so far as the Reds have won each of their opening eight matches, and on top of that, he’s been in great goalscoring form for his country, netting four goals in his last four games for the Netherlands.

Form like this would see many take their foot off the gas, but Wijnaldum seems keen to push on and get even better in the coming weeks.

The 28-year-old has shown exactly the type of attitude needed to win a Premier League title.

Wijnaldum hasn’t allowed himself to get carried away by his own good start to the season, and he’s clearly willing to do everything possible to make the good times continue in the coming weeks and months.

Manchester United fans discuss Marcos Rojo’s potential January exit

[ad_pod ]

Manchester United could be about to have a precarious situation on their hands, depending on how manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer manages it.

Their centre-back Marcos Rojo has issued an ultimatum ahead of the January transfer window, which is merely stating that if he isn’t played, then he must be let go.

The Argentina international has made just 63 starts in the Premier League since joining the club back in 2014 from Sporting Lisbon and is yet to feature this season.

In the summer, a move to Premier League rivals Everton fell through and with the club splashing out £80m on Harry Maguire, his long-term future at the Red Devils appears to be wearing thin.

Some of the Old Trafford faithful shared their thoughts on Twitter on the 29-year-old’s recent comments.

One supporter said it was happy days and that he should be let go for £10-15m whilst another added that it should have been years ago considering how injury prone he is.

Rojo’s comments have been sparked by his lack of involvement at international level after missing out on Argentina’s Copa America squad in the summer whilst he didn’t feature this week in their 0-0 friendly against Chile.

Leeds fans discuss damning creativity statistic from this season

[ad_pod ]

Leeds fans have been quick to voice their concerns over Marcelo Bielsa’s team selection in recent times with Helder Costa seemingly at the height of their agenda.

The Portuguese has yet to start in the Championship despite costing a potential £15m next summer and registering three assists already this term.

The Whites have struggled to create clear cut opportunities and the impact of Jack Harrison certainly hasn’t helped in that regard. Of 31 attempted crosses in the league this season, only one of them has been accurate.

However, YEP journalist Graham Smyth has provided a further damning statistic on their ability to cross the ball.

Given Harrison’s inability to find a teammate from a cross, this statistic is hardly surprising but it did provoke quite the reaction from supporters on Twitter.

Some were alarmed by the stat as one said they had the final-third output of a Neil Warnock side. One fan simply claimed that Costa now had to start while another said Leeds kicked a lot of aimless balls into the area.

Bielsa’s men are currently top of the league but failed to take their chances against Derby in a 1-1 draw last weekend. Patrick Bamford hit the post and Mateusz Klich missed a penalty before they were pegged back in a game they should have been out of sight.

Here’s the best of the discussion about their creative woes.

Spurs fans implore club to make Youcef Atal swoop

[ad_pod ]

Tottenham Hotspur fans hope that the club will complete a deal to sign OGC Nice right-back Youcef Atal in this transfer window.

DZN Football reports that Spurs are currently keeping tabs on the full-back as they consider bringing in a new full-back ahead of the transfer deadline on Thursday.

The piece claims that the club are continuing to scout Atal, who has seen his stock rise significantly since moving to Ligue 1.

The 23-year-old moved to Nice in 2018 and has made a total of 30 appearances for the club, scoring six goals and registering one assist.

An Algeria international who has won 13 caps, Atal could replace Kieran Trippier in north London after the full-back moved to Atletico Madrid in the summer transfer window.

Indeed, after both Juan Foyth and Serge Aurier sustained injuries this summer, the club can only call on Kyle Walker-Peters as their specialist right-back.

And fans have urged chairman Daniel Levy to wrap up a deal for Atal prior to Thursday’s transfer deadline.

Tottenham: Terrible Trippier’s £25m exit would be massive transfer boost

We have nothing against you, Kieran Trippier. All we’re doing is asking whether or not you’re good enough to be playing in Champions League final. The short answer is no, and it’s not hard to see why when you look back at how ‘The Bury Beckham’ fared last season.

We were all successfully duped by Trippier after the World Cup in Russia. Even Real Madrid bought into the act that the Englishman could be one to improve them last summer as they took an interest in the then-£50m rated defender (The Sun), one year later though and Los Blancos are nowhere to be seen as Trippier’s supposed valuation has cut to half of what it was.

As one European giant has decided against Trippier, though, another has been sniffing around. According to The Telegraph, Juventus are expected to bid for the defender and with Tottenham expecting £25m to allow him to leave, it will be interesting to see how this one plays out.

The only reason they’ll be some interest to it is because there is no way you can justify splashing that sort of money on a 28-year-old right-back after his shocking season. If you don’t believe us when we say that, then believe the man himself, as Trippier spoke to Sky Sports and claimed that he had not been good enough throughout the season.

It was a brave move from the Tottenham full-back to come out and critique himself, but it had to be done, and it seems that Gareth Southgate, the England manager, agrees with what the former Burnley man had to say, as he cut the defender from his UEFA Nations League squad less than one year after he shone for the Three Lions in Russia.

Whatever the future holds for Trippier, it seems that his past 12 months have proven that it should lie away from north London as with the Lilywhites now looking to finally win silverware they simply cannot afford to have a player like him on their books making errors in the big moments, as we saw with his Stamford Bridge own goal and missed Selhurst Park penalty.

Tottenham fans, would you be happy to let Trippier leave this summer? Let us know!
